I found out this evening that today was the International Day of the Bible. In celebration, I bring a verse and a call.
How beautiful on the mountains are the feet of those who bring good news, who proclaim peace, who bring good tidings, who proclaim salvation, who say to Zion, “Your God reigns!”
Todd and Angela Owen (my parents) are currently in the process of raising support to return to Bible translation in Papua New Guinea, among the Somau Garia people, after 7 years of ministering in the US.
Bible translation is hard, dangerous work in the third world. I’ve had my life at risk a number of times, just being along for the ride. I don’t regret it in the least. It would be awesome for my parents to be able to pour their energy and wisdom into this work of God.
For storing treasure in heaven, advancing the gospel, and equipping beautiful feet to share the good news, please pray for and donate to my parents. I know no one better equipped for this calling.
